Contact us

Hello!  We're the Core Group, beavering away behind the scenes to keep Wallingford LETS running smoothly.  Please do contact any of us with any suggestions or feedback, we're always on the lookout for bright ideas.

We have regular meetings and members are more than welcome to come along, or get more involved and join the Group.

Mary Broster

Treasurer for Sterling

Mary looks after your subscription money and pays for things like postage and stationery and some entertainment expenses.  She leads the rambling group, loves flowers both wild and garden, lives in a little house and has a cat called Molly.

Jane Hutchins

Responsible for co-ordinating the Core Group and holding the membership database

Jane is the current Co-ordinator of Wallingford LETS.  She chairs and
minutes the Core Group meetings and ensures the smooth running of the
Wallingford group.  She also holds the current membership database.

Since joining LETS in 1999, Jane has received and given much help through
the scheme, through which she has met many delightful new friends.  She
often hosts LETS events at her home in Benson and very much enjoys the
social side of her role
.

Simon Wallis

Recorder for LETS accounts, organises the e-mail group, and maintains the web site

Simon receives the Castles cheques specifying trades between members, either by paper or e-mail. Periodically he sends out statements of accounts to members so that they can check their balance and check that trades have been accurately recorded.

He is moderator of the LETS e-mail group, by which members can advertise their needs and services. He also maintains the web site.

Simon has been a member of LETS since the start, and earns copious Castles by administering to the computer needs of the distressed gentlefolk of Wallingford. He also used to do hedge-cutting until his hedge-trimmer packed up.

Maureen Wood

Responsible for the LETS directory

Maureen maintains the LETS Directory and it is her job to ensure that all entries are current and correct.

Maureen lives in Henley and enjoys visiting her family in Canada and her home in Spain.

Val Woodings

Looks after membership enquiries and writes the newsletter.

Val joined LETS right at the beginning and as part of a small group set up this wonderful organization. She has used it in so many ways over the years and enjoys the social fun as well as the work side. She lives in Wallingford, loves gardening, has made many new friends through LETS and takes advantage of the many aspects of this small country town.

She edits and co-ordinates the newsletter which not only welcomes new members to the group and highlights their skills and interests, she reports on past and future social events, receives inquiries from potential new members and distributes information and application packs.
